How to answer the hard questions

Reported by Noel Shaw, THE EXAMINER, Saturday, June 2, 2007, page 38

Life can be distressing for young people who feel that they are not understood or appreciated. And when a child has learning difficulties, emotional problems or developmental delay, life becomes tough for parents too.

This book, Parenting Tough Kids, is aimed at removing difficulties for all.

Case histories show that it is not only children who have much to learn.

Subjects examined include friendships, bullying, homework, moods household chores and other domestic sensitive areas.

Here is a lot of commonsense for parents about helping children and teenagers through their difficulties - real or imagined, and building their personal and emotional strength.

Author, Mark Le Messurier was brought to Launceston for a state conference held by the Tasmanian State School Parents and Friends Inc.
